Degeneration of Disc
As you get older, the discs of your spine begin to wear down. Degeneration may occur due to repetitive motions or from injuries. Most of the people experience disc degeneration after 40 years of age. Sometimes, it doesn’t cause pain, but in some people, it may cause severe pain.
Disc degeneration is most common in your lower back and neck. The pain may come and go, usually varies in intensity, and may extend to your thighs and buttocks.
